ISBN changes: On 1/1/07 the textbook industry
transitioned from a 10-digit to 13-digit ISBN number. Keep
this in mind as you research textbook information. In
most cases the 13-digit ISBN has already been displayed on
books, below the bar code (it starts with the 978 prefix, includes
the old ISBN, and ends with a new check digit).
